8 E-mail: Born in 1963. She did an agricultural apprenticeship on an organically managed diary farm. First contacts to the them of agrobiodiversity were established when attending lecture of Prof. Dr. Hams-Hinrich Sambraus at the University of Freising-Weihenstephan. Antje Feldmann finished her studies at the University of Kassel-Witzenhausen with a dissertation on the "Use of old and endangered livestock breeds in nature protection and Landscape management". Contacts to the German Society for the Conservation of Old and Endangered Breeds of Farm Animals e.V. (GEH) were already established and from 1992 up to date, she holds the post of the business manager. Antje Feldmann was active in several organisations dealing with animal genetic resources, such as the Institute for Agricultural Documentation and Information (ZADI), the FAO (World Food Organisation) the Institute for Animal Breeding and Animal Behaviour at the Federal Research Station of Mariensee. She was taking part in the model project "Genetic Differentiation of different Populations of Red Cattle" by the Federal Ministry for Agriculture.
