M.Sci. of Agricultural Sciences, lecturer, assistant manager on University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Biotechnical faculty, Zootechnical Department. Head of the Chair for small ruminants. He lead the Slovenian national breeding program for small ruminants. He is projectleader "Conservation Slovenian Autochthonous Breeds". He collaborates on different projects in Animal Genetic Resources (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, China ) and in projects on sustainable agriculture in Karst region (China). He is focal person in Slovenia for the FAO Global Programme for the Management of Farm Animal Genetic Resources. His main interests are animal genetics and breeding, conservation of endangered breeds, selection and improvement of sheep and goats and application of information technology on animal production.
