<hgkuit@12move.nl> Born 1961. Master of Agricultural Sciences, Wageningen University. Specialized in Animal Production Systems, working free lance for research, project management and consultancy. She worked during six years in development countries (Africa, South America) for regional programmes on animal backyard husbandry, mixed farming systems and agro-pastoral systems related to nature and landscape conservation. In Bolivia she worked with an NGO for the conservation programme of Criollo cattle and community development. Last ten years she is involved with rural innovation programmes in the Netherlands and studied the production and marketing issues of quality meat derived from nature management with grazing cattle. She recently in 2003 entered as secretary the Board of the Dutch rare breeds foundation "Stichting Zeldzame Huisdierrassen" (SZH). Geesje Kuit takes place over from Ferry Leenstra. The participation of the Netherlands is formally restricted as establisher of SAVE as an European Foundation in the Netherlands.
