Studied languages as well as anthropology and passed some years of his youth travelling (South America, Asia). Pioneer of organic agriculture in Western Switzerland. Started growing vegetables, took over a farm, cattle breeding, cheese production field crops, fruits. Was involved when Swiss organic agriculture organisation "Bio Suisse" was founded. Delegate in committees. Former president of organic farmers association of French speaking Switzerland. Worked for Research Institute of Organic Agriculture from 96 -99 as coordinator of a project in Bulgaria (constitution of an extension service for organic agriculture). As free lance since 99. Project management, counselling, assessing. Thematic focus: Sustainable agriculture, protection of resources and landscapes, agro biodiversity, green tourism. Geographical focus: Balkan and Caucasus. Agro biodiversity: designed for Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation a project for the conservation of rare indigenous breeds in Bulgaria in 2000 and went with the project as project counsellor (back stopper) from 2001 - 2006.
