Born in 1949, a founder member of the British Rare Breeds Survival Trust and formerly its Marketing Director until 2002. Established the concept of 'Conservation through Consumption' and successfully implemented it in the UK through the Traditional Breeds Meat Marketing Company which he still runs and which has proved a major factor in the conservation of rare breeds of cattle, sheep and pigs in the UK.
He also runs the Gloucestershire Old Spots and British Saddleback Pig Breeders' Clubs and is on the Council of the British Lop Pig Society. He writes on rural issues and particularly on pigs. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
