Ullrich Schulze,
MSc Am Brink 6a E-mail: Born 1955 in the former German Democratic Republic. Graduated on agricultural experimentation at Quedlinburg. After 1989 he worked for different projects for the preservation of plant-genetic resources, since 1994 with an assortment of occasionally 300 tomato varieties. Starting from 2000 engaged at the "Chamber of Agriculture" in Münster in a model project for the conservation of plant-genetic resources in North-Rhine/Westphalia. In this connection the marketing of tomatoe varietis or products of grain (bread, beer, brands) is a vehicle to bring the main topic of the use of agro-biodiversity to the consumer. At present the cultivation of tomatoes takes approx. 5000 m2 (12500 plants) in 6 farms and old grain varieties are cultivated in 18 farms. Target of this work is the establishment of a union of producers willing to conserve traditional agriculture and old varieties with innovative products.
