Born 1950. Grew up with farm animals and pets. English teacher, trained horse-riding instructor and has worked as a travel guide for a few years. Travelling and getting to know different cultures are main interests. Has worked for the Centre for Environmental Education in Maastricht since 1979, first as manager of city farm, now as educational consultant for environmental education. Develops educational programmes and activities in nature areas, farms etc. for different age and target groups. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch City Farm Federation (SKBN) and Board Member of the European Federation of City Farms (EFCF). Active in several working groups, trying to find new ways to interest and involve people in nature, agro-biodiversity and animal welfare.
