  • SAVE eNews
    The "SAVE eNews" is an electronic information service which is issued cost-free four times a year. It provides regular news on the topic of conservation of threatened animal breeds, cultivated plant varieties, agrobiodiversity and networking. The SAVE eNews is available in English and in German. For a subscription to this newsletter just write an e-mail to the newsmaster with your address and e-mail address.

  • European Agro-Biodiversity Day (EAD)
    PR event about the importance of Agro-Biodiversity. Various activities of the national organisations in the SAVE Network in their own countries. The EAD is held always at 29 September (St-Michaels Day). The EAD is also increasingly used by other organisations.

    is an internet portal for the networking and promotion of institutions in Europe showing rare breeds and historical plants to the public, as ark-farms, pedagogic farms, open air museums, animal parks, variety gardens etc.. Search functions in English, French, German and Italian.

  • SAVE Focus*
    The situation of crossborder occurring breeds was analysed regularly by SAVE. The contacts and the stockdatas in each country and the possible need for action were published in the biannual '
    SAVE Focus'. Today the breed data are published in online databases (so called breed atlas'). A copy of the last 'SAVE Focus 2005' with addresses, breed descriptions, pictures and the breeding data from 2004/2005 can be downloaded here as PDF-file:

  • A special edition of the SAVE Focus for the Balkans shows the situation of transboundary occurring breeds and breed groups of Pramenka- and Tsigai-sheep, Grey Stepp- and Busha-cattle and of the domestic buffalo in the Balkan countries.
